I bought this bike because it was one of the cheapest bikes with every feature I was looking for. The individual parts may not be the best out there, but I felt like I got every single dollar out of this purchase. The bike also felt wonderful compared to my previous ~$150 steel folding bike. Weight, pedaling, and overall comfort was great. It’s been about two months of use and it’s still running strong. Here is a list of anything that has gone wrong or maintenance that I had to do.- Cleaned and lubed chain. Not sure what they used but it benefited from a thorough cleaning and lubrication after only a couple weeks of riding.- Rear hub popped out of frame when the rear of the bike hit the curb when being walked. It just needed to be tightened, but glad I wasn’t on it at the time as the chain immediately bound.- Rear brake had air in line. Ended up cracking the fill screw housing due to low quality aluminum and too much torque. My fault, but worth noting that the aluminum here isn’t the best. (Recommend mt201 replacements, as these were clones)- Low sided the bike on the non drive side during a turn on the pavement, going about 15mph. Took it like a champ with no issues after, outside of a squished pedal. As you can see there really wasn’t much, and most of it is my fault anyhow. For reference to my riding over the two months, I am 5’8 and about 140lbs. I use it mainly on flat roads, but the bike handles poor sidewalks, small jumps off park paths, gravel/forest trail, and curb jumps quite well.Overall I’d recommend this to someone who wants an aluminum bike with hydraulic brakes, and who intends to use it for trail riding. I have not done serious downhill or mountain biking, but I would personally upgrade the fork before doing so.(I will update this review if something fails)

This Hiland mountain bike is surprisingly good! Very high-quality frame with mid to entry-level components. The color is more orange than red, as another reviewer had noted, but I have had more comments on the color in the two days that I have been riding it than on any other bike I have ever owned. It really looks cool and classy! Most of the non-drivetrain components (seatpost, bars, rims, etc.) are “Hiland” branded but are of good quality. Brakes are no-name but work really well with very smooth and secure stopping. For anyone interested, they use mineral oil instead of DOT brake fluid. both are commonly used in hydraulic bike brakes and one is no better than the other, just don’t mix them! The drivetrain is SUPER EL CHEAPO! The crank and Shimano derailleurs look more like they belong on a hundred dollar Wally World bike than on a bike of this quality. The ProWheel crank has alloy arms, swaged and riveted steel chainrings (non-changeable) and a plastic cover to make it look like an alloy spider. This will be my first upgrade. But, even though the drivetrain lacks the quality that a bike in this category should have, the gear changes are crisp and precise so I can’t really complain too much. The aluminum frame has all internal routing for the derailleur cables and brake line, and the welds are all clean and well-executed. The “Hiland” fork also seems to be pretty decent, with controls for both lock out and preload, and what appears to be about 100mm of travel. Assembly was straight forward and took about an hour from opening the box to riding. I have assembled several “mail-order” bikes from boxes in the past, and this was the easiest to assemble. The wheels were perfectly true right out of the box, and the gears and brakes were perfectly adjusted. Well, hydraulic brakes don’t need adjustment, but the derailleurs were perfect. My only complaint, and this is my fault, not the bikes, is that it is borderline too large for me. I’m within the height guidelines for this size bike, but I tend to have a longer torso and shorter legs, so I may have been better-served with the 27.5 in model. But all-in-all I love it. I don’t have a lot of miles on it yet, but will, no doubt, put a lot of miles on it over time. I’ve been riding as an adult for over forty years (I’m 72) and this is sure to become one of my favorite bikes! Highly recommended for anyone looking to get into serious biking.

I was a bit skeptical at first when getting this bike. It was only 300 at the time. This bike Is awesome. I abuse it all the time in the streets of Brooklyn and everything about is like how is this so cheap? It comes with hydraulics not even brand-name bikes at a 500 dollar price point come with hydraulic brakes. I don’t think I can go back to regular v brakes or mechanical disk brakes. The shifters are really smooth and everything about this bike is so nice.If you think this is some cheap amazon bike that is gonna mess up anytime soon that’s not true. Ive had mine for 2 months no problems.

Like another buyer said, front wheel nuts are SO TIGHT, i’ve practically stripped them trying to get them off. Will try with nut bit for my drill. If that doesn’t work, they can suck it. AND IF YOU THINK IM PAYING ONE FRIGGIN NICKEL TO RETURN THIS?????? YOU’RE VERY SADLY MISTAKEN.

This bike MALI brand is from Hungary, the bike might have been assembled 85% from Taiwan, it says made in Taiwan so not much information online That talked about this brand of bikes. Wife loved this bike, great looking yet priced much cheaper than heading down to the local bike shop buying their entry level bikes. Itās also super light, I wrecking it probably weight no more than 30 lbs! I upgraded tires for more off road riding, went from 35C road tires to 45C knobby tires that Is about 1.8 inches wide and the bike frame can clear Up to 2.2 inches tires no problems. (700x55C would be as far as this bike frame can handle) added better peddles for more taste and itās much better than the peddles it came with! Got a bike stand to Match the bike. The stem is adjustable to fit whomever is riding it. The instructions is only in Hungarian so thatās not much of help, however the processes of installing the bike is Too easy to talk about. Took me about 30 mins or less to put it together. (You can also take to the local bike shop and let them deal with it) I give 5 stars simply because itās modern looking with internal cable management that not only does it ride comfortable but also make it seem much more expensive than what we paid for. With all the upgrades I did with this bike we paid maybe 600$ includes tax.

Overall, a decent purchaseWas worried this bike may be disaster, but for the money its a decent value. Some bolts were loose and some minor things needed adjusting but over all, its an inexpensive bike worth the purchase.
